In 2016 we honored those who are the stepping stones to our future

Dr. Tim Lisante

Superintendent of District 79
NYC Board of Ed

Dr. Tim Lisante is the Superintendent of District 79 in the NYC Board of Education. District 79 provides a diverse portfolio of programs for court-involved youth, student parents, and High School Equivalency students. Together, we teach Beautiful Me to the female students in District 79 and some of our most incredible feed back has come from these young women who are fighting to succeed.

Patrick McLaughlin

Principal at
St Francis Prep

Patrick McLaughlin is the Principal at St. Francis Prep in Queens. SFP is the largest non-diocesan Catholic high school in the nation. Pat has generously welcomed our foundation into the SFP community by having every freshman female student participate in an enormous Beautiful Me workshop each year!

Miguel Murphy

Detective 23rd Precinct
Community Affairs NYPD

Detective Miguel Murphy works in the NYPD’s 23rd Precinct Community Affairs division. Miguel partners with us every year by coordinating our largest Beautiful Me Christmas Toy Drive in Harlem. Miguel also supports our Beautiful Me 5K/Family Fun Day every year by attending with the NYPD Explorers.

Sonia Galarza

Administration for
Children’s Services in NYC

Sonia Galarza has a long and illustrious career at the Administration for Children’s Services in NYC. As the Director of In-Kind & Pro-Bono Resources, Sonia has enthusiastically introduced our Beautiful Me program to her staff and colleagues. Together, we work through the juvenile justice channels for the youth under her charge and recognizes the value of self-esteem in long term success!

Dr. Sophine Charles

Director of Preventive
Services, Child Welfare

Dr. Sophine Charles is a powerhouse in child welfare, including working as a director of preventive services and as a therapist/trainer in foster care. Sophine has promoted Beautiful Me across all professional avenues of her work and continues to change the future for our foundation.

Estelle Strykers-Santiago

Director of the Community Partnerships Unit for the Manhattan District Attorney

Estelle Strykers-Santiago is the Director of the Re-entry and Juvenile Justice Unit at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Estelle has championed Beautiful Me with countless agencies and programs that serve the youth of New York City–one of them being the outstanding Saturday Night Lights Program. Estelle partnered with Beautiful Me at the very beginning of our journey and we are incredibly proud of the partnership we have formed over the years!
